    FYI:
    * Just a reminder that if your child comes home with an All About Me poster, it needs to be completed for the next Friday.
    * We will be praying the Rosary during the month of October and will be using the joyful mysteries.  Fourth grade will lead on Monday, October 8 at 9:00 am.
    * On Monday, a field trip permission slip will be coming home with your child.  We will be going to the Civic Center to see Science of Magic.  Your child will need to bring a cold lunch or order one through the school nutrition office for Tuesday, Oct. 9.
    * Our science test over the layers of the Earth, plates, earthquakes and volcanoes will be on Thursday, Oct. 6th.  The students will need to use their picture dictionary to study!

      FYI:
      * Each week, we will present a Current Event in our classroom.  For right now, the event is all about the student.  So, your child will come home with a poster on Friday with one week to complete it.  Then, they will share the poster with the class and keep it displayed in the classroom for that week.
      * Just a reminder that Class Mass dates are Doyle- 9/26, Bethel - 10/3, and Winter - 10/17.
      * We have been working on the 10 Commandments in Religion.  The students will have a test over them on Monday, Sept. 24th.  
      * Fourth grade is working on the Earth's surface in Science.  We will be learning about the layers of the Earth, earthquakes and volcanoes.  The students will be creating a study guide by adding important vocabulary words to their picture dictionaries.  Right now, the test is planned for around October 4th.

        * We will be having a map skills quiz on Monday, Sept. 17.  The students will be able to use classroom maps on the quiz to make sure they are able to apply their skills.
        * Genius Files test will be on Friday, Sept. 21st.  It will just be about the book, so there shouldn't be a need to study at home.
        * We are starting the 10 Commandments in Religion.  Right now, we are planning on that test on Monday, Sept. 24th.  We will be discussing them & practicing them all next week.
        * If you haven't turned in the note card for your child from Back to School Night, please send it to school.

          * We will begin weekly spelling on Monday, Sept. 10th.  The students will have an assignment to complete sometime during the week.  It will be due on Thursday with the test on Friday.
